The administration, maintenance and strategic development of the Port of Peterhead, are the responsibility of Peterhead Port Authority (“PPA”), an independent Trust Board consisting of 10 non-executive and one executive member.


PPA is seeking to fill two non-executive vacancies on the Board from candidates who have a keen interest in the business and activities of the Port.  Applicants will be required to demonstrate ability, have a proven track record in their chosen profession or other activities and, complement the existing range of expertise and maintain the appropriate balance of skills on the Board.  They should also have special knowledge, experience or ability relating to one or more of the following: renewable energy, decommissioning, shipping, the pelagic fishing sector, the processing sector or be a Master Mariner.


Commitment and experience can be as valuable as qualifications.  Applicants will be required to work with senior and professional staff.  An ability to grasp complex issues quickly is important, as is experience of achieving results in a business or Board environment.
