A number of local firms specialise in mobile crane hire.
Electrical Engineering
Several electrical engineers with marine experience are
available 24 hours a day.
Fresh Water & Ice
Available on all quays and for fishing vessels at the ice
factories.
Net Repair
There are net making and repair firms in Peterhead, all of whom
provide a fast and highly efficient service.
Royal National Mission for Deep Sea Fisherman
Located in Union St., opposite the drydock.
Ship Repair/Painting
Most hull and engine repairs are available - either afloat or
in slipway, drydock and
shiplift.
Major engineering firms are based in or around the port. Ship's
carpenters, painters, electricians, plumbers, radio and radar
specialists, diving contractors and salvage companies are similarly
based in the harbour area.
Refuse Disposal
All types of ships' refuse is removed from the quay. Skips are
available upon request.
Weighbridge
A fully serviced weighbridge located on Merchants Quay is manned
by certified operators
