Oil Industry
Peterhead Bay Harbour provides a comprehensive range of facilities to service the complete needs of the offshore oil industry's activities. A total of seventeen berths across two purpose built oil support bases, which are operated by ASCO, ensure that the harbour has the capacity to handle the demands of the offshore oil industry, twenty-four hours a day, every day of the year. Over the years Peterhead has serviced over 75,000 oil related vessels, from a 96,000dwt tanker to drilling rigs and small standby craft.

Other Trades
Peterhead Bay Harbour also provides facilities for handling frozen fish and bulk cargoes such as grain, fertiliser and peat and has more recently established itself as a port of call for cruise vessels, bringing many thousands of passengers and crew to the North-East of Scotland. Peterhead Bay Marina is recognised as being one of the finest marinas on the East coast of Scotland. The port is approved as a Border Inspection Post for the import of frozen fish from outwith the EU and a steady trade has since developed from fish processors in the local area and further afield.
