Board Member vacancy
The administration, maintenance and strategic development of the Port of Peterhead is the responsibility of Peterhead Port Authority (“PPA”), an independent Trust Port Board consisting of ten non-executive and one executive Board members.
PPA is seeking to fill one non-executive position on the Board from candidates who have a keen interest in the business and activities of the Port. Applicants will be required to demonstrate ability and have a proven track record in their chosen profession or other activity. To complement the existing range of expertise and maintain the appropriate balance of skills and competencies on the Board, applicants should preferably have special knowledge, experience or ability in matters relating to the fishing industry.
Commitment and experience can be as valuable as qualifications. Applicants will be required to work with senior and professional staff. An ability to grasp complex issues quickly is important, as is experience of achieving results in a business or Board environment.

Appointments will be for an initial term of three years, commencing 1st January 2020.
Board members are expected to devote up to two days per month to the work of the Board and are remunerated.
